How to Use the Ice Pack

Freeze the gel ice pack flat in your freezer for at least 4 hours before first use. Overnight freezing is recommended.
Once frozen, the pack will be firm but flexible.
Slide the pack into the chest pocket of the vest and close the pocket.
Put the vest on your dog. A mesh layer inside the pocket prevents direct cold contact with the skin.
Active cooling lasts about 2 hours. Keep a second frozen pack on hand if you need longer.
After use, wipe the pack clean and return it to the freezer.

Important

Do not microwave or heat the ice pack.
The gel is non-toxic (food-grade CMC) but should not be ingested. Replace the pack if punctured.
Best used in temperatures above 24°C / 75°F. In cooler weather, wear the vest without the ice pack.
A spare ice pack is recommended so you can rotate — freeze one while using the other.
